  • Bonfire Night

    Thank you to all our friends and families who braved the torrential rain for our first ever bonfire and fireworks celebration.  It was wonderful to see Knotty Ash bringing so many people together.  Thank you to the fantastic PTFA, Mr England and all the staff for organising such a tremendous community event.  Next year, we'll book better weather!

    Our Celebration of Achievement rewarded outstanding work, effort and attitude over the past year.  We were delighted to be able to welcome The High Sheriff of Merseyside, Mr Jim Davies, to present the awards. 
  • Alder Hey Culture Celebration

    Year 6 visited Alder Hey hospital to celebrate Liverpool's Cultural Diversity with a fun variety of activities.  Thank you so much to Alder Hey for inviting us.  Everyone had a really wonderful time!
  • KA celebrate Raold Dahl's 100th Birthday!

    Today the whole school celebrated a special birthday for one of our favourite authors - Raold Dahl's 100th!  Children and staff dressed up as their favourite Dahl characters and had a great time doing themed activities.  We used the occasion to officially launch our Year of Reading as we work towards the Reading Quality Mark this year.

     

  • Year 6 Beat the Teachers in Rounders Match!

    In a hotly contested match this morning between Year 6 and the whole staff of Knotty Ash, the final score was 49 to 46, with the children ending up the victors! 

    Children responded to the news by charging down the field.  Teachers responded by mapping out a rigorous training programme for the next 12 months.  Year 5 beware!

  • Book Fair

     Book Fair to be held in school hall on Wednesday the 28th of June and Thursday 29th of June from 3:15pm 
  • The School Council welcome the Queen to Liverpool!

    The Knotty Ash School Council went to Liverpool Town Hall to see Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Philip.  It was well worth the wait to get a wave from the balcony.  Then, when we got off the bus at Alder Hey, we saw the Royal couple again.  A once-in-a-lifetime event that happened twice in one day!
  • Liverpool Maths Party

    We'll use any excuse for a party at Knotty Ash!  Everyone enjoyed joining in with Liverpool's Maths Party.  Here are Reception and Year 1 having fun experimenting with shapes.
  • Queen's Birthday Picnic

    Many thanks to our wonderful PTFA for organising this lovely family event.  Everyone enjoyed a great time together on the school field in glorious sunshine.  Happy Birthday your majesty!
