Context: 2019 cohort includes 3 children in special provision following a bespoke curriculum (2 Deaf with additional needs, 1 low-functioning ASC). Data shows outcomes with and without these 3 children (9% of cohort).
Knotty Ash Primary School has a Deaf Resource Base, which we are very proud of. The Resourced provision caters for profoundly deaf children from Liverpool and surrounding districts. Many of these children also have a range of additional needs. They are an asset to the school and we are tremendously proud of our inclusive practice.
In terms of data, however, the language need of most of our DRB children means that they have only limited access to the end-of-key-stage tests. For the purpose of comparison, some of the data shows percentages with the DRB children disaggregated from the total.
